Alterations Coordinator

Salary

Hourly rate of $25.00 per hour. Compensation may vary by geographic location and experience.

• Support end-to-end garment workflow: receiving, organizing, final quality inspections, and outbound shipping.
• Assist with fittings, sewing, pressing, spotting garments, and execution of stock repairs.
• Run daily operational reports, manage documentation, and monitor operational metrics.
• Process alterations transactions accurately through the POS system.
• Provide operational supervision and leadership to workroom employees in the Alterations Manager’s absence.
• Perform additional ad‑hoc responsibilities and projects as needed.

Experience
: 2+ years in retail operations, administrative coordination, or apparel/alterations environments.

Industry Knowledge
:
Solid understanding of the fashion industry, garment tailoring, construction, fabrication, and luxury styling.

Communication Skills
:
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact professionally via phone, email, and in person.

Technical Proficiency
:
Proficiency with Microsoft and Google suite; comfortable operating standard office and POS equipment.

Organization
:
Strong coordination skills and ability to manage order workflows, scheduling, and documentation in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
:
Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development, or a related field.

The employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Requires close vision and fine detail focus.
