OVERVIEW

The Real Estate Intern at Alo is a student or recent graduate responsible for supporting the Real Estate team in site selection, market research, and portfolio management initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to retail real estate strategy, lease administration, and market analysis. The intern will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including finance, legal, construction, and store operations while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Alo Summer Internship will be from June 8th - July 31st. This position will be onsite in Beverly Hills five days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct market research and demographic analysis to support site selection and new store development
  • Assist in evaluating potential retail locations through financial modeling and competitive landscape analysis
  • Support lease administration by organizing lease documents, tracking critical dates, and maintaining real estate databases
  • Prepare site comparison reports, presentations, and executive summaries for leadership review
  • Utilize AI tools to help support site selection and manage existing store data
  • Assist with mapping, trade area analysis, and data collection to support real estate strategy
  • Partner with finance to support pro forma analysis and occupancy cost tracking
  • Coordinate with landlords, brokers, and internal teams to gather required documentation and project updates
  • Support special projects related to portfolio optimization, renewals, relocations, and market planning
REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related degree program
  • Interest in retail real estate, site selection, or commercial property strategy
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with mapping or data visualization tools is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Previous internship experience is a plus but not required
The compensation for this role is $25/hour.
