SUMMARY:As the Consignment Director of Music, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating property, securing consignments, building relationships, and driving business in our Music category. This dynamic position requires exceptional industry knowledge, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Evaluate the property and establish auction estimates.
- Acquire consignments through HA and individually generated leads.
- Research, authenticate, and catalog property.
- Proof catalog text and images, press releases, consignment and bidding emails, and advertising copy
- Market lots in auctions for various clients.
- Contribute to the expansion of the client database.
- Answer inquiries before, during, and after the auction.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and review the property for potential consignment.
- Actively participate in auctions.
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of experience in the music industry, auctions, or high-value collectibles.
- Proven expertise in appraising and valuing music-related items, with an understanding of authentication processes.
- Established network of clients, collectors, and music industry professionals.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing catalog entries and marketing copy.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Passion for music history and collectibles, coupled with a dedication to providing top-tier client service.
- The ideal candidate is a go-getter, outgoing, self-motivated, and professional.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, high ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and have a positive attitude with good customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn; work well with a team
