House Master is expanding and growing quickly in Metro Detroit. We are looking for someone to work Part‑Time with potential to go Full‑Time in the future if desired.

The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.

The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required.

• 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair/service experience required
• Valid driver’s license (Michigan Driver’s License required)
• Must pass a pre‑employment background investigation and illegal drug test
• Must achieve the industry certification test within 4 months of employment

Example backgrounds of successful home inspectors include titles such as building inspector, rental inspector, contractor, home service tradesperson, handyman, plumber, electrician, roofer, HVAC technician, auto mechanic, engineer, etc.

Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour.

This position offers flexibility in scheduling.

Paid training will be provided and new inspectors will become certified (if not already).
