We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily financial operations for an organization in Beverly, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings accuracy, organization, and consistency to invoice and payment activities. The role focuses on maintaining efficient accounts payable workflows, resolving discrepancies, and helping ensure vendors are paid correctly and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation before processing.

• Assign the correct accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the system with a high level of precision.

• Manage the full invoice processing cycle, from receipt through approval coordination and final payment preparation.

• Prepare and support regular check runs to ensure vendors are paid according to established timelines.

• Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to address invoice questions, missing information, and payment discrepancies.

• Maintain organized accounts payable records and ensure documentation is readily available for audit and reporting needs.

• Track outstanding items and follow up on approvals to keep payment activity moving efficiently.

• Assist with payable reconciliations and contribute to accurate financial recordkeeping across day-to-day operations
