Responsibilities- Daily import/export transactional tasks
- Interface with freight forwarders, U.S. customs officers, custom brokers, and internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to customs and import/export regulations
- Provide product information to internal teams to support HTS classifications, Export Control Classification (ECCN), and country of origin information
- Manage import/export record‑keeping processes in compliance with regulations and company policy
- Ensure partners, customers, vendors, and others are screened for denied persons and entities, restricted end‑uses, anti‑boycott language, diversion, and related concerns
- Act as liaison with internal departments regarding regulatory and duty matters, and coordinate with the Import Export Compliance Manager as needed
- Conduct internal audits and assessments of business activities for adherence to import/export procedures throughout the lifecycle, including review of new products and classification/characterization of commodities until final delivery
- Evaluate new government requirements to ensure compliance and incorporate changes into daily operations
- Identify and analyze causes of compliance issues and gaps, generating recommendations for management
- Partner with cross‑functional teams—Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and Engineering—to develop and execute defined procedures
- Provide training on compliance topics to individuals and functional groups as required
- Support group programs and projects that leverage Free Trade Agreements, including management of certificates of origin and other duty‑saving opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- At least two years of global regulatory compliance or related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of product classification, CCL, and Schedule B/HTSUS
- Strong problem‑solving skills and computer proficiency
- Self‑starter with leadership qualities
- Excellent Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills

U.S.Base Salary Range
$62,341.33 - $93,511.99
This salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations. Compensation is determined by job‑related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and internal equity. Base pay is part of a comprehensive U.S. total compensation package that includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan and a benefits package for regular employees working 20+ hours per week.
