If you need to be absent, advance notice to the supervisor is required, except in the case of emergencies (advance notice 24 hours, day of notice 2 hours before shift start time). Repeated tardiness or absences may be grounds for action by your supervisor and can lead to termination if the behavior goes unchanged.
Inform your supervisor as soon as possible when you are sick or requesting time off. Strong working relations build and thrive off effective communication between the supervisor and employee. At the time of hire, your supervisor(s) will inform you of the ways they will contact you and explain the process of calling out when sick.
