Estimator

Estimator | Boston, MA | Join a respected commercial builder with a strong project pipeline, where you'll have real ownership of estimates and the opportunity to grow with the preconstruction team.

A well-established and respected commercial general contractor is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their growing preconstruction team in the Boston market. This is an opportunity for an Estimator who has direct experience estimating for a commercial general contractor and understands the full lifecycle of a GC-led bid process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of estimates, working directly with subcontractors and vendors, analyzing drawings and specifications, and partnering with the preconstruction and operations teams to deliver competitive, accurate bids.

Commercial GC estimating experience is essential for this position. Candidates coming exclusively from a subcontractor, specialty contractor, or trade background will not be the right fit.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join an established commercial general contractor with a strong project pipeline
  • Work on complex commercial construction projects throughout the Boston market
  • Be part of a collaborative preconstruction team
  • Have meaningful ownership over estimates and project pursuits
  • Work closely with senior leadership, operations, and project teams
  • Opportunity for continued career growth
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Stable pipeline of upcoming projects

This Role Is NOT a Fit If...

  • Your estimating experience is exclusively on the subcontractor/trade side
  • Your background is primarily in residential construction
  • You have limited experience estimating complete commercial GC projects
  • Your experience has been primarily focused on purchasing or procurement rather than full-cycle estimating
