Position: Videographer or Digital Media Undergraduate Student (Internship/School Credit – Project Opportunity)
Organization: H. Ernest Stone, Attorney & Founder of Military Service Day
Location: Patton Homestead (Historic Site, Hamilton), H. Ernest Stone Office (Cummings Center, Beverly) and other meeting and event sites, TBD.
Project Overview: Military Service Day, Founded by H. Ernest Stone, Attorney, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this coming July. This will be an historic year as our country celebrates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution as well as the birthday of the United States Army. We are seeking a videographer or digital media student passionate about Veterans and video to create a documentary-style project for school credit.
This role offers hands-on experience in event coverage, historical documentation and community engagement.
Event Date: July 18, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities- Document the planning and preparation process leading up to the Military Service Day event.
- Capture high-quality video footage on-site during the day-long event, including exhibitions, military reenactors, vintage vehicles, and Veteran-related activities.
- Conduct interviews with Veterans and participants, especially during the speakers panel, to gather insightful stories and personal perspectives.
- Collaborate with event organizers to ensure access to key moments and assist with interviews.
- Capture any important footage related to both the soft launch (Patriot’s Day) and official launch (Memorial Day) promotional coverage.
- Currently enrolled in a digital media or related undergraduate program.
- Interested in documentary filmmaking, military history, and Veteran affairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with event staff.
- Willingness to attend on-site event all day as well as additional meetings, events and speaking engagements leading up to Military Service Day beginning in April.
- Ability to coordinate on-camera interviews with key organizers and veterans. Willingness to work with organizers for school credit requirements.
