Requirements- License & Certification:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support
License:
Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Massachusetts.
Certification:
Valid CPR Certification.
Clinical
Skills:
Proficiency in standard hygiene procedures and a patient-first mentality.
- Clinical Excellence:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, while ensuring patient comfort. - Diagnostic Support:
Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) and assist the dentist in identifying potential oral health issues. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventative care to maintain long-term health. - Health Assessment:
Review patient medical histories, perform screenings (such as oral cancer exams), and document clinical findings accurately. - Infection Control:
Maintain a sterile and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and sterilization protocols.
