Beginning September 2026, join our vibrant early childhood education team at Harbor light Nursery School as a part-time preschool float and extended care teacher! In this role you will provide essential support across preschool classrooms and extended care programs ensuring a nurturing, engaging and safe environment for young learners. Enthusiasm and flexibility will help create a positive atmosphere where children can thrive socially, emotionally and educationally.

This position works with a mixed-age group of children ages 2.9 to 5 years old.

Responsibilities:

• Helping with child transitions
• Developing and implementing curriculum
• Ensuring child safety
• Engaging children in developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Collaborating with staff to meet children's needs
• Maintaining open communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and behavior

• EEC Certification or willingness to work toward it. Preference to a teacher already certified. Degree preferred but not required.
• All employees must pass a background record check as well as complete EEC's Essentials trainings before the first day of work.
• CPR and First Aid certification a must.
• At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
