Glen Urquhart School (GUS) is an independent, progressive day school for students in pre-K through grade eight. Located 45 minutes north of Boston in Beverly Farms, GUS was founded in 1977 with an experiential, place-based philosophy that integrates all subjects and creates opportunities for students to pursue their passions.

The full-time kindergarten teacher is responsible for differentiated and developmentally aligned teaching, understanding how young people learn, and fostering social and emotional growth. The role emphasizes a positive and engaging learning environment.

• Supporting the mission and philosophy of the School.
• Demonstrating academic excellence through a working knowledge of GUS's core curriculum.
• Managing a classroom of young children with a teaching partner.
• Organizing the classroom and establishing routines that support young children's learning.
• Planning lessons that are interdisciplinary and thematic.
• Participating in parent conferences and meetings, and communicating with parents regularly.
• Working collaboratively with all Lower School teachers.
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date records on student progress.
• Attending weekly school meetings, school functions, and community events.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in an elementary school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive community.
• Familiarity with the developmental needs of elementary- age students and current theories and practices that support a dynamic elementary education program.

Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications. Range $45,000-$65,000 per year.
