Job Description
We are seeking qualified candidates who demonstrate a commitment to student learning, collaboration, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct instruction for students
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences and learning styles
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, and materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of learning styles and needs of students assigned
- Manage student behavior to achieve an effective learning environment and in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
- Provide timely and appropriate plans for substitutes as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning through formal and informal testing.
- Persistent belief in the potential for all students to succeed academically with an asset‑based mindset
- Ability to communicate respectfully and in a culturally proficient manner with parents/guardians about student progress and language acquisition
- Ability to analyze and utilize student data to develop and/or co-create curriculum and instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in the appropriate subject area and grade levels
- Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement (required within one year of start date)
- At leasttwo (2) years of relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the appropriate content area
- Compensation is set in accordance with the Beverly Teachers Association Unit A collective bargaining agreement and is commensurate with experience and education.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a CORI and SORI background check and fingerprint‑based national criminal history check, in accordance with Massachusetts law.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
