Children’s Art Classes is thrilled to announce its expansion into the Beverly, MA area! We are currently inviting applications from passionate individuals to join our team as Art Instructors. We are seeking a certified art teacher with teaching experience.

Children’s Art Classes’ instructors work in a school environment, and the ages of students taught can vary from pre-school up to young adults. We require our teachers to have a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education or a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), optimally having knowledge of art history and techniques. Ideally, the teacher will have a portfolio that may need to be shown to demonstrate personal ability, and evidence of teacher credentials.

Instructors should be capable of teaching a group of up to12 students at a time, while maintaining classroom management up to Children’s Art Classes standards. Some classes will only consist of about 6 students. It’s also important to be able to control and effectively instruct a larger group during parties or events.

Strong verbal communication skills are essential in this position, and patience and adaptability to change are also important when lessons do not go as planned. The curriculum is already prepared! Art instructors are responsible for preparing the necessary materials to teach the class, so they must also keep a close eye on inventory levels.

This position offers 10-20 hours of work per week. Additionally, we provide all necessary supplies and a comprehensive curriculum. Continuous professional development is a part of our commitment, with ongoing required monthly training.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong and effective communication abilities
  • Proficiency in implementing a structured curriculum
  • Profound classroom management skills
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts or Art Education degree.

Training will begin in September. You will begin teaching classes the first week of October.

Join a team that is passionate about delivering a high-quality, structured art education experience in a way that is simple, supportive, and impactful for every student!
