Classroom Teacher – Toddler/Preschool Transitional Classroom
We are hiring a Classroom Teacher for our new Toddler/Preschool Transitional Classroom. This high‑energy role focuses on the development and education of children aged 2 to 3.5 years. The position requires a creative, positive, engaging team player who brings fun and dedication to these classrooms.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a co‑teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
- Keep parents informed through the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
- Provide a safe environment by maintaining an orderly, clean, and appealing classroom.
- Encourage children’s participation with age‑appropriate interactive activities.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness (opening/closing routines, wiping, vacuuming, sanitizing, trash, bathrooms).
- Engage with students in free play, supervise outdoor time, assist with bathroom needs and diapering, snacks, meals, and naptime.
- Adhere to the school’s structured schedules.
- Track children’s progress and complete assessments.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Maintain required professional development hours and PQ registry.
- Other duties as assigned.
- EEC Teacher Infant/Toddler/Preschool Certification or CDA (required).
- Experience in a center‑based childcare, private or public school setting.
- Energetic approach to learning and positive attitude.
- Curiosity, creativity, and strong team‑focused mindset.
- Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift within operating hours, including opening and closing shifts.
- Ability to spend extended periods on the floor with children.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand up to 90% of workday.
- Strong time‑management, attentiveness, and collaboration skills.
