Salary Range: $105,000–$135,000 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Location: Onsite, professional office and engineering lab environment
About the CompanyA leading manufacturer of high‑precision motion control technologies is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support the design and development of next‑generation actuators and custom electromechanical systems. The organization specializes in advanced servo actuators, gearing technologies, and integrated motion solutions for high‑performance applications.
Position SummaryThe Mechatronics Engineer will contribute to the full lifecycle of actuator and motion system development, including gear systems, motors, sensors, and system‑level performance verification. This role requires strong CAD proficiency (Solid Works), hands‑on engineering capability, and the ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities Design & Development- Lead electro‑mechanical design efforts from concept through production, including detailed manufacturing and customer drawings.
- Integrate components such as actuators, motors, gears, bearings, sensors, connectors, servo drives, and controllers into complete systems.
- Develop components and assemblies for complex electromechanical products.
- Apply GD&T and Solid Works best practices to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
- Perform system‑level and component‑level troubleshooting, testing, and performance verification.
- Create test procedures, assembly instructions, and technical reports to validate customer requirements.
- Participate in root‑cause investigations and corrective‑action analyses.
- Maintain engineering documentation in accordance with established control practices.
- Work with purchasing and manufacturing teams to source components and build accurate BOMs within the ERP system.
- Communicate clearly with sales, customers, and vendors to ensure technical alignment.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge‑sharing.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and development workflows.
- Provide technical guidance on electromechanical design challenges.
- Manage multiple engineering projects and daily tasks effectively.
- Promote innovation, creativity, and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Strong electromechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Creative problem‑solving skills with a focus on manufacturability and cost‑effective design.
- Solid Works proficiency, including GD&T and understanding of manufacturing/inspection capabilities.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation control.
- Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters) is a plus.
- Hands‑on assembly experience (mechanical/electrical, soldering, crimping) is beneficial.
- Ability to generate clear, accurate technical reports.
- Programming experience (Python, LabVIEW) and servo drive commissioning are pluses.
- Experience with servo drives (e.g., Copley, Elmo, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Siemens, Bosch Rexroth) is advantageous.
- Networking familiarity (Ether
CAT®, CANopen®) is a plus. - Experience with PCB design, robotics, or automated machinery is beneficial.
