Senior Technical Staff Engineer - Hardware

Job Description

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex hardware systems (e.g., controllers, embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, RF/microwave systems).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Oversee hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing) to ensure product success.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in hardware design methodologies.
• Review and approve technical documentation, schematics, and layout designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in hardware engineering.

• Requires BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience in leading hardware/embedded systems design projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of delivering successful embedded system products.
• Strong ability to work in multi‑disciplinary teams and interface well with peers and management in a corporate setting.
• Proficient in analysis, simulation and implementation of embedded control systems, data converters, RF/Microwave systems, analog and digital filters.
• Knowledge of atomic clocks, precision timing/navigation and related fields is preferred.
• Experience in using FPGA/CPLD is desired.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $91,000-$232,000.
* Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
