Position Summary
This company is seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to support the development of custom and next-generation actuator systems. This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role focused on electro-mechanical product development from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities- Product Design & Development
- Design and develop complex electro-mechanical systems and actuator assemblies from concept through production release
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works
- Apply GD&T principles to mechanical designs and technical documentation
- Design and integrate:
- Actuators
- Motors
- Gear systems
- Bearings
- Sensors
- Connectors
- Servo drives and controllers
- Support custom and next-generation actuator development initiatives
- Testing & Validation
- Perform component and system-level analysis, troubleshooting, and performance testing
- Develop and execute verification and validation test procedures
- Utilize controllers, amplifiers, and electrical test equipment to evaluate actuator performance
- Generate technical reports, test documentation, and engineering recommendations
- Manufacturing & Documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Manufacturing drawings
- Customer drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Engineering documentation within ERP systems
- Support design for manufacturability, inspection, reliability, and cost optimization
- Collaborate with manufacturing and purchasing teams to support sourcing and production activities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering teams, Manufacturing, and Customers
- Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when needed
- Education – 4–8 years of engineering experience in industrial product design and development
- Experience – Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience developing complex mechanical or mechatronic assemblies

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection methods
- Experience with engineering documentation and revision control
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments
Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
- Electrical test equipment:
Multimeters, Power meters - Mechanical and electrical assembly:
Soldering, Crimping - Programming:
Python, LabVIEW - Ether
CAT®, Robotics or automated machinery systems - ERP systems
- Solid Works Certification
- GD&T Certification
- Office and laboratory environment
- Frequent interaction with engineering labs and manufacturing/shop areas
- Use of standard office, engineering, and testing equipment
