Job Description & How to Apply Below
Mechatronics Engineer II We’re looking for a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys building complex electro-mechanical systems and seeing designs move from concept all the way into production. This role is ideal for someone who likes solving real engineering problems, working across disciplines, and getting close to the product throughout the development cycle. You’ll be part of a team developing next-generation actuator systems, working on everything from motors and gearing to sensors, controls, and performance validation.

If you like combining mechanical design, electrical systems, and real-world testing, this is a strong opportunity. What you’ll do Design and develop electro-mechanical systems including actuators, motors, gears, bearings, sensors, and controllers Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works Support product development from concept through production release Perform testing, troubleshooting, and analysis at both component and system levels Develop test procedures and documentation to validate performance against customer requirements Work closely with manufacturing and purchasing to source components and build accurate BOMs in ERP systems Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for product and process issues Collaborate directly with internal teams, vendors, and occasionally customers to ensure clear technical alignment Contribute to improving development processes and engineering standards Provide technical input, with opportunities for informal leadership and mentoring What you bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) 4–8 years of experience in electro-mechanical product design and development Strong Solid Works skills and understanding of GD&T and manufacturability Experience working with integrated mechanical and electrical systems Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power meters Understanding of manufacturing processes, documentation control, and engineering best practices Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach Clear communication skills and ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams Nice to have (not required)

Experience with servo drives, robotics, or automated systems Exposure to Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming tools Knowledge of Ether

CAT, CANopen, or similar industrial networking protocols PCB design experience or electronics development background Hands-on assembly experience (soldering, crimping, prototyping)

Experience with vendors such as Copley Controls, Elmo, Yaskawa, Siemens, or similar platforms Why this role stands out This isn’t just design work on paper. You’ll be involved in building, testing, and refining real systems that go into production. You’ll see your work validated in hardware, not just models, and have a direct impact on product performance and reliability. If you enjoy engineering that blends design, hands-on testing, and cross-functional problem solving, this role offers that balance.
