Technical Writer (Contract)

Location:
Beverly, MA

Pay:
Up to $34.00/hour

We are seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain technical documentation for advanced manufacturing and semiconductor equipment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled technical communicator who can transform complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, edit, and maintain operating manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting documentation, and product upgrade instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
  • Translate complex mechanical, process, and equipment-related information into easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Create and update technical illustrations and visual work instructions using CAD visualization tools.
  • Revise documentation to support engineering changes, product enhancements, and compliance requirements.
  • Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives by delivering high-quality documentation on schedule.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Experience creating technical documentation for manufacturing equipment, industrial machinery, semiconductor systems, or other complex technical products.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems.
  • Experience using Creo View or similar 3D CAD visualization software.
  • Excellent technical writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of document control processes, engineering change orders (ECOs), revision control, and technical documentation standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with technical subject matter experts.
