Mechatronics Engineer I

Location:

Beverly, MA on-site

Compensation: $85k-$105k /yr

About the Role:

A growing engineering-driven manufacturer is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer I to support the design, development, and testing of advanced electro-mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electro-mechanical systems from concept through production
  • Create CAD models, drawings, and documentation (Solid Works)
  • Integrate components such as motors, gears, actuators, sensors, and controllers
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot systems at both component and system levels
  • Develop assembly and test procedures and generate reports
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and sourcing teams on BOMs and vendor selection
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Communicate technical details with internal teams, vendors, and customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related)
  • 1-6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and components
  • Proficiency in Solid Works (GD&T knowledge preferred)
  • Experience with testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical assembly is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Programming experience (Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
  • Servo drive or motion control experience
  • Exposure to robotics or automated machinery
  • PCB design/development experience
  • ERP system familiarity
