Senior Associate or VP, Investor Relations – Beverly, Massachusetts

A well-established investment management firm is seeking a Sr. Associate / VP of Investor Relations. The position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and is a great opportunity for candidates from Investment Banking or Equity Research backgrounds looking to move into an Investor Relations role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, engaging materials regarding firm’s business position and strategy, as well as the financial and operating performance for existing and prospective shareholder base
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly earnings materials and public filings, including:
  • Develop and help to execute the investor communications strategy, including:
    • Advance firm’s investment narrative and disclosures by developing a deep understanding of Company’s GAAP and non-GAAP financials, benchmarking performance and disclosures against those of industry peers, and identify opportunities to enhance clarity in investor communications
    • Analyze investor targets to identify new or existing shareholders with additional buying potential
    • Participate on client conferences and prepare materials for other marketing engagements
    • Participate in calls with sell-side analysts as well as existing and prospective shareholders
    • Monitor shareholder activity and trading trends
  • Monitor industry news and peer benchmarking, including:
    • Track and summarize peer results and analyst research reports
    • Track public company trading comparables and prepare peer stock price performance charts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, other Masters, or CFA a plus
  • 5+ years total professional experience, including:
    • 2+ years in Investor Relations, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Equity Research or management consulting
    • VERY high Preference for financial services exposure
    • Experience with in alternatives (private market and/or hedge funds) a strong plus industry
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of capital markets and asset management industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills for financial analysis and modeling, and the ability to create clear, compelling presentations in Power Point
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Nasdaq IR Insight, Ipreo, Fact Set, and/or Alpha Sense
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly motivated individual; able to work in a fast-paced environment both independently as well as within a team environment
  • Proactive team player with strong work ethic, collaborative attitude, and professional demeanor
  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Compensation

Salary is $125K-175K Base + high end bonus
