Our team is working with a leading asset management firm located outside of Boston, looking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant to their growing team. The Senior Corporate Accountant will support core accounting and financial operations, including maintaining general ledger integrity, overseeing reconciliations and intercompany activity, and managing quarterly close and financial reporting processes. Responsibilities include supporting liquidity and cash forecasting, strengthening internal controls around AP and financial workflows, and partnering with Treasury to optimize capital deployment.
The position also drives system enhancements and process improvements, including ERP initiatives and automation efforts to improve reporting accuracy and scalability.

Responsibilities- Maintain general ledger integrity, including account reconciliations, intercompany activity, and support for day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare financial reporting, including ownership of the quarterly close process, closing entry preparation, and preparation of financial statement disclosures.
- Support liquidity management activities, including cash forecasting, intercompany funding, and coordination with Treasury to ensure efficient capital deployment across the organization.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls over financial processes, with a focus on accounts payable workflows, approval structures, and audit readiness.
- Participate in general ledger system initiatives, including enhancements, integrations, and future-state implementations (e.g., Workday Financials), ensuring accuracy and scalability of financial data.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives across accounting workflows to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate and implement technology-enabled solutions (e.g., automation, AI-assisted workflows) to streamline processes and enhance reporting and decision-making.
- Analyze and communicate budget-to-actual and forecasted results on an ongoing basis and communicate status to management.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management and participate in special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, including a minimum of 2 years at a public accounting firm.
- Previous experience in asset management, financial services, or consulting is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Workday Financials accounting software, preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation, and emerging AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and streamline accounting and reporting processes.
