Beverly Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and not-for-profit community hospital on the North Shore of Massachusetts, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health System. The hospital provides high-quality care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, including inpatient maternity and psychiatry services. The Pharmacy Department supports multiple hospitals in the region.
Role OverviewPharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care. Responsibilities include preparing, distributing, and storing pharmaceuticals, working with computerized systems, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Once trained, technicians may teach and assist with administrative duties.
Required Skills & Competencies- Knowledge of hospital practice and operations
- Strong communication skills
- Constructive interaction with staff
- Clinical knowledge and patient care expertise
- Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
- Valid national pharmacy certification
- High School graduate, at least 18 years old
- At least 2 years of hospital or related pharmacy experience preferred
- Exceptional aptitude may substitute experience
- Minimum 1000 hours experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Weekday shifts starting at 6:00 or 7:00 am, occasional evening shifts, on-call overnight rotation, and weekend shifts approximately every three weeks
- Willingness to work at multiple locations
- Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
