The Compensation & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the accurate administration of payroll, compensation, and benefits programs, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and a positive employee experience. This role reports directly to the HR Manager, and partners closely with Finance to support scalable, compliant, and market-aligned total rewards programs.
Key Responsibilities- Own the weekly payroll processing for 100+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations
- Administer compensation and benefits programs within the HRIS (iSolved), maintaining accurate employee data and records
- Calculate and process bonus and commission payments in accordance with approved plan documents, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and timely payout
- Work closely with HR staff to review pay-rate changes and cross-check payroll software accordingly, collaborating with the HR team to address any discrepancies
- Maintain compensation data and support benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices
- Manage leave administration, including tracking, coordination, and compliance with federal and state leave requirements
- Review and approve employee leave accruals (vacation and sick time) in iSolved
- Administer day-to-day benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA, and 401(k) plans
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, compensation, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to payroll, compensation, and benefits
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and improve processes
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to payroll and benefits administration
- Ensure timely completion of annual benefits reporting (ACA, 1095, 5500)
- Experience processing payroll and administering benefits for 100+ employees
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably iSolved
- Strong understanding of employment and payroll-related laws and regulations in Massachusetts; experience with other state laws or remote workforce is a plus
- Experience calculating and administering bonus and commission plans
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Pay RangeThe annual salary range for this position is as follows:
$60,000 to $70,000 per year
Compensation for roles at Tobin varies based on factors such as office location, role responsibilities, relevant experience, education, and specific skill sets. As required by local law, Tobin provides a reasonable, good-faith compensation range for positions hired in Massachusetts. Actual pay will reflect job-related qualifications, geographic considerations, and other applicable factors.
