Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist reports directly to the CFO and will serve as an advisor to all departments. Establishes and maintains solid working relationships with all levels of management and staff to strategically and proactively provide HR support in the areas of employee relations, compensation analysis, organizational design and development, change management, training and development, communication, compliance, payroll and benefits and recruitment.
Future candidate will participate on projects, mid/large-scale initiatives in support of the management team.
- Develops and administers employment policies, procedures and carries out personal objectives and programs.
- Oversees employee relations function for the company as needed.
- Develops employee engagement programs to promote a positive work culture.
- Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on all issues relating to human resources functions and seeks information through available resources when necessary.
- Assures company compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Manages and processes unemployment claims and attends hearings. Maintains regular communication with unemployment vendor and managers when claims arise.
- Assess training and development needs, and apply and monitor appropriate training programs for managers and employees.
- Manage the employee recruitment process
- Responsible for the companies on boarding engagement process.
- Works with managers on the development and revisions of job descriptions on all positions, reviews and updates annually.
- Manages the performance appraisal process for all staff.
- Works in collaboration with the payroll department to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Represents the HR Department on various internal committees and project committees.
- Manages the termination process, such as advising and accompanying the supervisor, conducting exit interviews, and submitting required documentation.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Strong employee relations background.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws/ ACA
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Paylocity experience is a must
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- SHRM and/or HCI certification strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred.

* This is a Part-Time, On-Site position - 15-30hrs, Monday-Friday. Hours can be flexible, mornings or afternoons
