King & Bishop is hiring on behalf of our client for an HR Generalist to support a dynamic and fast-paced organization. This fully onsite role offers the opportunity to work within an innovative, mission-driven environment where payroll operations and strategic HR partnership intersect. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable balancing payroll responsibilities with broader HR functions that support employee experience, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes

  • Prepare payroll-related reports for internal stakeholders

  • Manage payroll taxes, deductions, and benefit contributions accurately and on schedule

  • Support recruitment processes, including onboarding activities

  • Serve as a resource for employee questions and provide HR guidance when appropriate

  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with employee relations initiatives

  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and documentation

  • Collaborate with external vendors to support benefit enrollment and changes

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies

  • Support HR audits and reporting requirements

  • Assist with onboarding training and development initiatives

  • Maintain HR systems, databases, and confidential employee records

  • Generate HR metrics and reporting as needed

  • Support implementation and coordination of HR programs and initiatives

  • Assist with employee engagement and wellness programs

  • Participate in continuous improvement of HR processes

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience

  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with UKG Auto Time and ADP Vantage preferred

  • Must be available to work 100% onsite

  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance
