PowerBI Developer

Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Power BI Developer to design and deliver high-quality data products across modern analytics platforms. This role focuses on building and enhancing Power BI and Report Builder solutions that provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating business requirements into scalable, user-friendly dashboards and reports.

• Develop and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI and Report Builder
• Build data products using enterprise data warehouse sources in Azure Synapse / Fabric environments
• Gather and validate stakeholder requirements and translate them into phased development deliverables
• Perform QA, testing, and user validation to ensure accuracy and usability of data products
• Support and troubleshoot production reporting and dashboard issues
• Follow SDLC and deployment best practices
• Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to track and document development work
• Partner with data engineering teams to improve upstream data models and consistency
• Optimize user experience through report features such as bookmarks and subscriptions
• Document data products and provide user guidance and training
• Participate in data audits and continuous improvement efforts

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of experience developing with Power BI and Report Builder
• Experience publishing to Microsoft Fabric work spaces
• Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills
• Experience working with SQL-based data models
• Proven ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with Tableau
• Familiarity with medallion-style data architectures
• Experience with CRM or ERP data sources
• Background supporting analytics or BI environments

Salary: $100-$120K
