• Under close supervision from the department supervisors or lead persons, provide daily cleaning of assigned work areas as defined by a work schedule.
• Handle emergency cleaning requests (e.g., spills) and replenish paper or chemical supplies as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks using the 7-step cleaning procedure: high dusting; dry mop floors; damp wipe horizontal surfaces and spot clean walls; clean bathrooms; empty trash and replace with a clean liner; wet mop floors; self-inspect work to ensure a clean environment for patients and staff.
• Use proper cleaning chemicals for each task and never mix chemicals or place them in improperly labeled bottles.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests within five minutes of instruction.
• Move furniture, relocate beds, and stock supplies as requested by a supervisor.
• Be aware of Right to Know information and proper fire safety response.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor in a timely manner with a positive attitude.

• Skills & Knowledge: This is an entry level position; skills may be learned on the job. English communication skills are required.
