The Grounds/Equipment Operator is responsible for maintaining Endicott College's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role performs a variety of tasks, including landscaping, snow removal, assisting with event setup and breakdown, handling routine maintenance and minor repairs, and completing work orders. The position contributes to a functional, safe, and welcoming campus environment. Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach are essential to success in this role.

• Performs grounds maintenance tasks, including planting trees and shrubs, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and collecting leaves to keep the campus looking its best.
• Clears snow and ice from parking lots, walkways, and other areas to keep pathways safe and accessible.
• Assists with setup, breakdown, and cleanup for events and functions, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• General laborer work includes moving and arranging furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Completes minor repairs and maintenance projects as assigned or in response to work orders.
• Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on equipment to keep it operating properly.
• Picks up trash and disposes of waste daily to keep the environment clean and safe.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks and assignments as directed to support departmental operations.
• Participates in the on-call rotation policy to address urgent needs and emergencies.
• Performs other duties as needed to support department and campus goals.

• Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
