Role Summary

This role will oversee and meaningfully expand all of Tobin Scientific’s specialized storage services, including cold chain, GMP, biorepository, and hazardous materials. You will be accountable for the operational performance and scalability of our best‑in‑class warehousing platform. The individual will assume leadership of our existing warehousing staff; execute new site launches and integrations; and establish the systems, metrics, and operating cadence necessary to accelerate national growth plans.

This role requires a senior leader with demonstrated experience scaling multi‑site warehouse or logistics operations in regulated or high‑reliability environments. You will have a considerable influence on the evolving shape of Warehouse Ops, and the opportunity to mentor capable and ambitious managers within the current team. Your strategic partners across the organization include Sales/BD, FP&A, Quality, T&L, Market Development, and the Executive team.

A working, practical knowledge of regulated industries and high‑reliability services is critical to success. Experience at a PE‑backed platform company or other rapidly growing business is a plus.

On‑site requirement of three days/week, across multiple locations north of Boston, MA, including the North Shore and Merrimack Valley. Travel requirements up to 25% of the month pending the completion of regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Warehouse Operations comply with all relevant Federal/OSHA regulations and local requirements.
  • Champion a proactive, client‑centric culture that establishes the industry standard for responsiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Synchronize the operating model across GMP and non‑GMP warehouses, including the standardization of SOPs, tech stack, KPIs, reporting, and escalation frameworks.
  • Define and implement a consistent site‑level P&L management approach.
  • Develop an Operational playbook for new warehouses post‑occupancy, including hiring, onboarding, and developing leadership teams to ensure systems, staffing, and processes are implemented consistently from onset.
  • Inform real estate development, construction and M&A diligence to enhance likelihood of success for geographic expansion.
  • Lead post‑close integration of acquired warehouse operations, including the standardization of systems, processes, and reporting within defined timelines.
  • Partner with Finance and IT on ERP/WMS integrations, adjacencies, and data migration.
  • Manage the selection, implementation, and integration of warehouse‑critical systems (e.g., WMS, ERP adjacencies, labor management, reporting tools, etc.), ensuring systems support scalability, compliance, and client visibility.
  • Mentor warehousing leaders, and develop bench strength for future site launches.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability, providing visibility for Executive Leadership.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
  • 12‑20+ years in warehousing, logistics, or specialized distribution.
  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success of P&L ownership and growth at a regional or platform level.
