Manufacturing CNC Machining Engineer

Pay Rate:
Up to $115,000 per year
We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing CNC Machining Engineer to support production operations and the manufacture of high‑precision components. This role is critical to improving manufacturing efficiency, optimizing CNC processes, and ensuring consistent product quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating across engineering, quality, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, quality requirements, and cost drivers.
- Define fixture and gauge requirements; design or procure tooling as needed.
- Prepare manufacturing sketches, setup sheets, and shop‑floor documentation.
- Program CNC machines and optimize feeds, speeds, cycle times, and tool life.
- Resolve CNC start‑up issues and perform hands‑on troubleshooting of machining and process problems.
- Work directly with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and related equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality personnel, supervisors, and operators to improve productivity and product flow.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Assist in training machine operators on procedures and task‑specific requirements.
- CAD/CAM experience with knowledge of drawing, design, and dimensioning standards.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes; mill/turn experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, work holding, shop math, and inspection practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments and requires hands‑on use of shop‑floor tools and machinery.
