Manufacturing Engineer – Precision Manufacturing
Location: Beverly, MA
Pay Rate: Up to $115,000 per year
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of high‑precision components in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, hands‑on problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerance requirements, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
- Define and document manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
- Design, specify, and procure fixtures and gauges required for production.
- Create and maintain manufacturing routings and bills of material within the ERP system.
- Review engineering change orders (ECOs) and update process documentation accordingly.
- Partner with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality teams, supervisors, and machine operators to optimize shop‑floor productivity and product flow.
- Lead or participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, including work holding and machining principles.
- Strong understanding of machine shop operations and inspection practices.
- Proficiency with CAD and solid modeling tools; working knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
