Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining
Location: Beverly, MA
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $85,000–$115,000 based on experience
Hours:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours
We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support CNC machining operations for high-precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing production processes across CNC lathes, mills, and mill/turn machines. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve throughput, reduce cycle time, and drive quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:Process Engineering & CNC Programming:
- Program CNC machines and optimize feeds, speeds, and cycle times.
- Resolve setup issues and troubleshoot machining problems on the floor.
- Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, and cost drivers.
- Determine fixturing and gaging requirements; design or source as needed.
- Create setup sheets, work instructions, and related documentation.
Production & Quality Support:
- Collaborate with operators, engineers, QC, and supervisors to drive productivity.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support operator training on processes and company procedures.
Documentation & CAD/CAM Tools:
- Prepare manufacturing documentation and update engineering records.
- Leverage CAD/CAM systems and ERP tools for production planning and support.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands‑on CNC machining and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong experience in CNC turning, milling, and mill/turn operations.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM and standard drawing practices.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of machining principles, shop math, and quality standards.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Split between office and manufacturing floor. Involves physical activity such as standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable using tools, machinery, and safety gear.
