Manufacturing Technician (Product Testing)
The Manufacturing Technician (Product Testing) is responsible for performing production testing of 5071 and 7610 cesium beam tube (CBT) assemblies used in atomic clocks. This role ensures that products meet established performance, quality, and reliability standards prior to release. The technician will follow documented procedures, operate specialized test equipment, record results, and work closely with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform functional and performance testing of CBT products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
- Set up, operate, and monitor production test equipment and fixtures.
- Record, analyze, and document test results accurately in production records or electronic systems.
- Identify test failures or anomalies and report issues to engineering or supervisory staff.
- Assist in troubleshooting product or test equipment issues when failures occur.
- Maintain test equipment, including routine calibration checks and basic maintenance.
- Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain an organized and clean test area in accordance with company and 6S standards.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules.
- Formal training in electronics through a technical school, vocational program, military training, or an industry-recognized electronics certificate program.
- Solid understanding of basic electronic principles, including voltage, current, resistance, and analog circuit behavior.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and detailed test procedures.
- Proficiency working with scientific notation and interpreting measurements across extremely small and large values.
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, electrometers, power supplies, and similar laboratory instrumentation.
- Ability to work safely with high-voltage equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Strong computer skills, including data entry, documentation, and working with MS Office software suite and production software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and interpret test data.
- Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience working with legacy or analog electronic equipment, including instrumentation originally designed in earlier generations of electronics.
- Experience operating or troubleshooting laboratory test equipment used in manufacturing or research environments.

Pay RangeThe hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the U.S., is $20.50–$35.00, depending on location, skills and experience.
