New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (New Entry), a program of the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, works regionally and across the country to strengthen local food systems by supporting new farmers. New Entry’s mission is to train and support new farmers, encourage resilient farming practices, facilitate access to local food and farm products, and build strong support networks for diverse agricultural communities.
New Entry envisions diverse and thriving farming communities where people are connected, farms are profitable and resilient, nutritious food is available to all, and land is stewarded for future generations.
We are hiring two Food Access and Community Engagement Coordinators. In this position, you will assist in outreach and engagement efforts to grow our food access partnerships and provide local food distribution support. These are temporary positions (from August 2026 to June 2027), full‑time, 40 hr/week, offered via the Commonwealth Corps Member program from MSA. You will be part of our Food Hub Team and expect a stipend of $1,250 semi‑monthly while in service (up to $26,250), minus taxes and with holdings, as well as health insurance and additional benefits.
