- Work on Mother Baby and Special Care Nursery units
- Complete assessments and essential care for mothers and newborns
- Administer medications and treatments
- Observe patient progress and evaluate therapies against standards and best practices
- Provide evidence-based physical, developmental, emotional, and psychological care from admission through discharge
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop individualized healthcare plans
- Support and educate patients and loved ones, including use of community resources upon discharge
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Mother-Baby or SCN/NICU
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Demonstrates expertise in providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns, including assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams. Proficient in evidence-based practices and patient education to ensure optimal health outcomes.
