If you enjoy working with precision tools, solving quality issues, and being a key point of support for manufacturing, this role offers a strong fit. What you’ll do Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet drawing and specification requirements Complete and document first article inspections (FAIs) accurately and thoroughly Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to verify part conformance Use a variety of inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, surface plates, optical comparators, microscopes, hardness testers, and CMM/vision systems Create and run CMM programs based on part drawings or models Support operators and engineers by answering questions and resolving inspection-related issues Assist in developing inspection instructions and best practices for measurement tools and systems Participate in tooling, fixture, and gage improvement projects Support Lean initiatives and help identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement Train and support other inspectors and technicians as needed Work across departments to ensure inspection coverage and product quality standards are met What you bring 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with precision mechanical inspection Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Hands-on experience with a wide range of inspection tools and metrology equipment
Experience with CMM and vision systems, including programming and inspection execution Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Strong attention to detail with an organized, analytical approach to problem-solving Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams Why this role stands out You’ll be the person ensuring quality is built into the process, not just checked at the end.
