Sr. Metrology Quality Technician About The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Metrology Quality Technician to support new product development and metrology investigations through precision measurements, GD&T reviews, and inspection process validation. This role is responsible for advanced CMM and vision system programming, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and operate CMMs and vision systems to ensure products meet specifications and drawings
  • Apply advanced GD&T and metrology principles during inspections and capability evaluations
  • Create, troubleshoot, validate, and optimize CMM and vision system programs
  • Perform precision measurements using gauges, fixtures, and inspection tools
  • Conduct part inspections and First Article Inspections (FAIs)
  • Support Quality Engineering with setup verification and inspection accuracy
  • Lead or participate in tooling fixture and gauge projects
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives
  • Train inspectors and technicians on metrology and inspection procedures
  • Support cross-functional teams with technical troubleshooting and quality inquiries
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience involving precision parts
  • 6+ years of experience using inspection equipment and metrology tools
  • 4+ years of advanced CMM programming experience
  • 4+ years of advanced vision system programming experience
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and metrology principles
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/shop floor environment
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Occasional travel (Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform shop floor activities)
