Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 12-13 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
- Department resets: Occasionally you will be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Advance notice of at least two weeks is provided for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who may support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical demand includes pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device for opening and reading documents.
- Reliable Wi‑Fi connectivity and internet access.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
