Are you a smart, friendly, persistent, and self-driven salesperson who thrives on opening doors and turning curiosity into real conversations?
We’re looking for a Business Development Salesperson with a strong ability to prospect and connect with small to mid-size businesses—especially those without in-house marketing support. You’ll be the first point of contact, helping potential clients understand how our creative and marketing services can solve real business challenges.
Your role is to identify opportunity, spark interest, and secure meetings with key decision makers. From there, you will collaborate with agency leadership in presenting our capabilities, helping guide prospects through how our services align with their needs and goals.
As relationships develop, you will remain involved beyond the initial meeting—checking in with clients, fostering ongoing connections, and helping identify additional opportunities over time. This role is not just about opening doors, but about building lasting relationships that contribute to long‑term client success and continued growth for the agency.
What You’ll Do- Proactively identify and research qualified small to mid-size business prospects
- Conduct outreach through calls, email, Linked In, and other channels
- Engage decision makers and uncover opportunities through thoughtful conversation
- Set qualified introductory meetings for agency leadership
- Participate in capability presentations alongside leadership
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients after initial engagement
- Identify opportunities for additional projects or expanded services over time
- Collaborate with internal team to refine messaging and targeting strategies
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activity and pipeline progress
- Follow up consistently to build familiarity and trust with prospects and clients
- 3+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or similar role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable initiating conversations and navigating organizations
- Self‑motivated, persistent, and organized in your approach
- Able to handle rejection and stay focused on long‑term success
- Relationship‑oriented mindset with an interest in long‑term client engagement
- Familiarity with marketing or creative services is a plus
- Experience selling or prospecting for a marketing agency or service‑based business
- A track record of turning cold outreach into qualified opportunities
- Base salary plus residual commission on all projects and contracts generated from the meetings you book
