We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable service centre in Erith. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career within the heavy goods vehicle maintenance industry. Our client offers a well-equipped workshop environment dedicated to quality service and safety standards.

- Up to 25 per hour depending on experience, with overtime paid at time and a half
- Monday to Friday early shift from 08:00 to 16:30, including a half-hour lunch break
- One in two Saturdays on a rota basis

- Carrying out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and other commercial vehicles
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance, including oil changes and tyre rotations
- Maintaining workshop inventory and ensuring a safe, clean working environment
- Assisting diagnosis and planning of repairs in collaboration with colleagues
- Keeping detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities
- Providing roadside emergency repair services as required as the HGV Technician
- Completing job paperwork and warranty claims accurately, escalating issues where necessary
- Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- Ability to identify worn or faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards
- Full UK driving licence relevant to the vehicle classes worked on
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently within a team and maintain high service standards
