A highly regarded and forward-thinking secondary school in Bexley is seeking exceptional Graduate Unqualified Teachers to join its dynamic and supportive teaching team from September. This opportunity is open to graduates in Art, Economics, Computer Science, English, Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Maths who are eager to gain meaningful classroom experience ahead of formal teacher training (e.g. PGCE).
This role is specifically designed for ambitious, high-calibre graduates looking to build a rewarding and long-term career in education.
The RoleAs a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you will work closely with experienced educators and subject specialists to develop your teaching practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 within your subject specialism.
- Supporting students’ academic progress and subject understanding.
- Leading small group interventions and targeted support sessions.
- Developing strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, marking, and assessment.
- Gaining exposure to curriculum planning and wider school life.
This position offers a structured and supportive introduction to teaching, providing excellent preparation for teacher training starting the following academic year.
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking graduates who:
- Are on track to achieve (or have achieved) a 2:1 degree or above in one of the following subjects:
Art, Economics, Computer Science, English, Geography, Physics, or Chemistry or related subjects. - Are graduating this year and ready to begin a full-time role from September.
- Have a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in teaching.
- Demonstrate strong academic ability and excellent communication skills.
- Are professional, reflective, and eager to learn.
- Have experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
- A high-performing and well-respected secondary school in Bexley
