Chambers Music Studio is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable
Woodwind Instructor
to join our Bexley teaching team.

This position is ideal for a musician and educator who loves working with children and teens and wants to build a consistent studio of students.

Depending on experience and studio needs, instruction may include:

• Flute
• Clarinet
• Saxophone
• Other woodwind instruments
• Private lessons
• Small-group or ensemble instruction
• Performance preparation

Woodwind instructors are responsible for providing engaging, high-quality instruction while helping each student develop strong musical foundations and confidence.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach weekly private and/or group woodwind lessons.
• Prepare appropriately for each student's lesson.
• Develop students' tone, technique, rhythm, music reading, musicianship, and performance skills.
• Help students establish effective practice habits and achievable goals.
• Prepare students for studio performances and other musical opportunities.
• Complete lesson notes and communicate clearly with families about student progress.
• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled teaching.
• Maintain a professional, encouraging learning environment.
• Participate in required training, observations, meetings, and professional development.
• Collaborate with Chambers leadership and fellow instructors.
• Follow Chambers Music Studio curriculum, policies, procedures, and teaching standards.
• Encourage students to remain engaged in music through consistent progress and meaningful performance experiences.

We're looking for someone who combines excellent musicianship with warmth, reliability, and professionalism.

Strong candidates:

• Have significant experience playing at least one woodwind instrument.
• Are comfortable teaching beginning through intermediate students; advanced teaching ability is a plus.
• Enjoy working with children and teens.
• Communicate clearly with students, families, and team members.
• Are dependable and prepared.
• Are willing to ask questions when they need clarification or support.
• Are coachable and interested in continuing to grow as an educator.
• Can create structure while still making lessons encouraging and engaging.
• Understand that the student and family experience extends beyond what happens during the lesson itself.
• Are comfortable participating in performances and studio events.

A bachelor's degree in music, music education, performance, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong musical and teaching experience.
