Assurance Senior Associate; Not--Profit Single Audits

Beech Valley is seeking experienced external auditors at the Senior Associate through Manager level to support a growing pipeline of not-for-profit Single Audit engagements. This interim opportunity is fully remote and offers flexible hours based on project needs. Ideal candidates bring strong Single Audit experience and are comfortable working in a fast-paced assurance environment.

What You’ll Do

• Execute and oversee audit procedures for not-for-profit organizations, including Single Audits under Uniform Guidance
• Plan and perform compliance testing related to federal awards
• Prepare and review audit work papers, financial statements, and related disclosures
• Identify and assess internal control risks and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with engagement teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of public accounting experience (Senior Associate level) or 5+ years (Manager level)
• Strong experience performing Not-for-Profit Single Audits
• Solid understanding of Uniform Guidance and compliance requirements
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Proficiency with Caseware (preferred)
• CPA license or progress toward licensure (CPA required for Manager level)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Copilot) in audit workflows
• Prior experience managing multiple concurrent engagements
• Advanced knowledge of internal controls over compliance
