Position OverviewSafe Harbor Great Island is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support our world‑class service team and develop into a service manager.

- Draft customer update emails detailing work progress.
- Inspect work, take photos for updates and customer communication.
- Document work completed.
- Perform quality control to ensure 100% completion and presentability.
- Research for estimates by reviewing past jobs and material pricing.
- Review work orders to ensure no details are missed.
- Interface with customers to provide personal touch during pick‑ups and drop‑offs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required training.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, life jackets, hard hats).
- Report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.
Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 5+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications (preferred).
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
- Must carry own tools.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Basic boat handling skills (plus).
