Position Overview
The Laboratory Coordinator II collaborates with faculty and professional staff in the School of Biological Sciences to prepare for and maintain teaching labs throughout the academic year and summer. Laboratory duties include preparing and disposing of reagents and media, maintaining microbiological cultures, setting up and breaking down laboratory apparatus (including equipment and supplies) for weekly laboratory exercise as well as cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and supplies.
The Laboratory Coordinator II may also teach laboratory sections during the Fall and Spring semesters as needed.
The Laboratory Coordinator II will work with faculty and professional staff in purchasing equipment and supplies for teaching and research laboratories, monitor laboratories to ensure compliance with university and federal safety standards, and complete administrative tasks for laboratories as assigned by the Academic Director of the School of Biological Sciences.
