Anticipated opening for a Special Education Teacher in a grade 3 & 4 life skills classroom at the Gray-New Gloucester Dunn School for the upcoming school year.
ResponsibilitiesTeach academic and functional life skills to some of our most endearing students.
Lead a team of educational technicians in implementing individual plans.
Case management, developing and implementing IEP's, collaborating with other school educators, assessing and monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
QualificationsApplicants must hold a Maine Certification Endorsement 282 and have a current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check prior to employment.
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations; proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs; strong communication and collaboration skills required. Successful prior teaching experience preferred.
