TitleTITLE: Educational Technician III for Pre Kindergarten
Responsibilities- Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
- Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
- Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
- Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
- Alert teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
- Participate in staff meetings as needed.
- Meet with the special education teacher and receive instruction/direction on a regular basis.
- Perform short-term instruction and classroom management activities with indirect professional supervision.
- Supervise small groups of students in community-based programs with indirect professional supervision.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the Cooperating Teacher or Building Leader.
- Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
- Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
