Biddeford Schools – Special Education – Education Technicians I, II, or III
Biddeford Schools are seeking Education Technicians (Ed Tech I, II, or III – Functional Life Skills – BMS) to support classroom instruction and student services.
Responsibilities- Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
- Participate in required workshops as requested by Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
- Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions, including supervision of students and suspension as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
- Alert teacher to any problems or special information about an individual student.
- Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education.
Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level.
ExperienceSuccessful prior classroom experience or working with students with special needs for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.
